Médecins sans Frontières is a medical and humanitarian organisation that provides assistance to population in distress, victims of natural and man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflict irrespective of race, religion, creed or political convictions.
MSF/Epicentre will conduct a Hepatitis C population prevalence survey in Maung Ruessei Operational District, Battambang Province, Cambodia where MSF is in the process of launching a testing and linkage to care program to complement a simplified model of HCV treatment. The study aims to provide baseline information on HCV prevalence in Battambang Province, as well as more information on factors associated with infection and population knowledge of HCV.
- Ensure that material required for the day is complete and ensure the organization of temporary site of biological sample collection is maintained
- Perform household and individual consenting also questionnaire according to training received and guideline
- Perform counseling and rapid HCV test of each individual eligible for the study in each selected household
- Assess the needs of immediate care and organize referral for the people in needs
- Other duties: Ensure confidentiality, participate to meetings and other duties
- To report on any aspects that threaten the study protocol.
- To abide by the MSF Staff regulations and MSF Charter.
- To maintain confidentiality with respect to the study procedures and patient information
- Degree in health care, social work, or other related fields
- Experience perform counselling, household interviewing, preferred
- Experience in social mobilization or community work preferred
- Experience working with NGOs, or in research, preferred
- Good communication, facilitation, team work and cooperation
- Good skills in speaking and writing in Khmer and English
